Privacy policy

Privacy without unnecessary collection.

This policy explains how Ecommerce Consulting International LLC handles personal information through ecomconsultinginternational.com and related business communications.

1. Scope and controller

Ecommerce Consulting International LLC (“ECI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy when you visit this website, contact us, or communicate with us about our consulting services.

This policy applies to this website and direct business inquiries. It does not automatically apply to a client’s systems or data where ECI may act under separate contractual instructions.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you contact us, we may collect your name, business email address, company, website, project topic, message content, and other information you choose to provide.

Technical information

Our hosting and security infrastructure may process basic connection and request data such as IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs. This information is generally used to deliver the website, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and protect our systems.

Information we ask you not to submit

Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details, government identification numbers, health information, or other highly sensitive personal information through the general contact form.

3. How we use personal information

  • Respond to inquiries and communicate about potential or existing engagements.
  • Provide, administer, and improve our consulting services.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the website and related systems.
  • Maintain appropriate business, legal, accounting, and compliance records.
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and prevent misuse or fraud.

We do not use this launch website for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information through the website.

5. Cookies and browser storage

The current launch build does not install advertising cookies, social-media pixels, or third-party analytics. It uses limited first-party browser storage to remember privacy choices. We treat that preference storage as necessary to remember the choice you asked us to retain.

If optional analytics or similar non-essential technologies are added later, they will remain disabled until you take an affirmative action to allow them where consent is required. You can reopen “Privacy settings” in the footer to change your preference. Refusing optional technology is designed to be as easy as accepting it.

We also detect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. When detected, optional analytics are kept disabled and the signal will be honored for legally applicable opt-out rights relating to sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.

6. How information may be shared

We may disclose information to service providers that support hosting, email, security, professional services, or other business operations, subject to appropriate duties and safeguards. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or support a corporate transaction.

We do not authorize service providers to use personal information for their own unrelated advertising purposes merely because they process it for us.

7. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, managing business relationships, meeting legal or accounting requirements, resolving disputes, and protecting our systems. Retention periods vary by record type and context.

8. International data transfers

Because ECI may work internationally and internet infrastructure can involve cross-border processing, personal information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms or other appropriate safeguards for restricted international transfers.

9. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection to certain processing, or withdrawal of consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise a privacy right, email privacy@ecomconsultinginternational.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing certain requests.

10. U.S. state privacy notices

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights concerning access, deletion, correction, portability, targeted advertising, sale or sharing, profiling, and appeals. These rights depend on the law, the processing activity, and whether legal thresholds apply to ECI.

ECI’s launch website does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where an applicable law requires recognition of a universal opt-out mechanism, we honor supported signals such as GPC as described above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

11. Security, children, and links

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

This website is directed to business users and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through this website.

Our website may occasionally link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our practices, services, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date will identify the current version.
